About Lina Huring
Independent designer Lina Huring has made a new collection named Objects & Materials for the Stockholm Furniture Fair together with some of the best Swedish manufacturers of furniture and light. The collection is based on different materials, and about letting a material shape the expression of a furniture piece. An invisible lamp, a table that expresses the lightness of cork, a chair that is put together by pieces of leather.
During the Stockholm Furniture Fair, Lina Huring also showed lights for LampGustaf AB. In 2009 Lina was, together with Maria Johansson awarded with UNG7 during the Stockholm Furniture Fair for the book/research project DESIGN STATISTICS ANNUAL. The book is still touring in exhibitions all over the world.
Graduated in 2008 from HDK/Gothenburg, Lina started to work for the swedish design group FRONT. She also studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven in the Netherlands. As a designer she combines direct ideas with her wide range of skills with knowledge and her artistic background. The result is furniture and products that communicate their own story.
